Running in the other day it siezed up.No oil or overheat warning at all.At home we pulled the plugs and dumped WD40 down each cylinder to free it up, and got it to turn over.It would start and run(real rough)for a few seconds.
What is your opinion,is the powerhead toast.
I have a 2001 Johnson 150.Changed the Racor filter with a 2 micron.Runs fine except for low speed,it stalls out.Could the 2 micron cause a fuel flow problem?
I have a 2001 150 Johnson that has a stuck throttle plate.It is the bottom plate on the starboard side.All the other plates move freely.
Anyone have this problem.
I have a 2001 Johnson 150 OceanPro.The boat has an 1990 Evinrude 155 Commercial Engine on it now.
I want to put the OceanPro on it.Anyone know if there are any issues doing this?
Weighed my 1980 20ft CC Robalo yesterday,and she is almost 900 lbs over the listed weight.
The boat is listed at 2130,and the trailer at 575.She weighed 3600:eek:.I was told that Robalo has closed cell foam,and will not retain water.
Anyone have any experience with this boat?

Removed my OceanPro 150 to work on the transom.Now it looks like it is going to spend the winter on the motor stand.
I used sta bil in the gas the last time it ran,so that should be ok.I was thinking of removing the plugs and injecting oil into cylinders,and then turning the motor over.

Doing a transom job on a 1980 Robalo.Any tips on tools to use to clear out rotted wood.
I plan on using Nida-Core transom compound for the rebuild.

Ordered factory service manual for my 2001 Oceanpro 150.The manual I received is for 2000 models.I called my dealer and he said that 2001 is the year Johnson went out of business(guess he meant sold)and this is the manual I had to use.
Anyone know if this is correct?
