When pulling the starter rope on an outboard moter, with the choke pulled out, and a new spark plug... after pulling 30 or so times should you be able to smell gas on the spark plug?
I asked the question about the tohatsu M5B water pump and external gas line. I live in West Virginia and there are no dealers around. I bought this motor on ebay and am going to Outer Banks this Thursday, I ordered the gas line from a marina in CT and they sent the wrong fitting for the motor...
Just bought a Tohatsu M5B serial # 36960642 from an ebay auction. Bought it from a pawn shop in Fl.<br />Can anyone tell me what year this 5 hp 2 stroke is. Thanks in advance
