    strange (to me) charging issue

    Boat Formula 31PC engines 454 (7.4) Chevy Bravo 2 (One) engine, at idle, will show appropriate 13+ volts. Advance throttle beyond 1200 rpm and line voltage drop to 10-11 volts. What might be going on and how do i test and troubleshoot? thanks in advance.
