Looking through the owners manual for the 750 I see there was a 'sidelooker' transucer (side scan) also available.
the 755 manual doesn't note this but does have the hsb available.
anyone familiar if this was a trade off or if the 755 will or can still utilize the 'side looker' transducer option?
Hey Rodbolt and others,
I've been reading about some of the issues on the 'big block' yami hpdi's. One comment that was made had to do with 'excessive trolling'. what is considered excessive? i have a 20-25 min no wake ride to get to open water would that be a problem? or are they talking...
This may sound strange, but i have a boat with 2 200hp 87 vintage suzi's - one bad.
i have an opportunity for a replacement with a 91 vintage that has some ignition problems.
this would make a great 'core' and i'd like to do a wholesale electronics swap - essentially taking the 91 back to...
In a separate post I talk about some issues i'm having with a globalmap 2000.
the specs say this is a 192 khz unit. i have a thru hull ducer (on a 31' cruiser)
in the event the old unit is trash, are there other 192 khz units in production?
is 192 "close enough" to 200 that they can use the...
got one of these units on a boat i bought. display was inoperative so had it fixed by a local tech. got it back last weekend.
it worked fine at the dock as a sounder and got a gps fix too. next day on the lake, the sounder started going crazy. when started up, it would function in automatic...
i have a new to me boat that came with the sitex t180 radar unit. i didn't get the manual for it.
the unit powers on and after the built in delay the scanner can be turned on. the display powers up and you can see a ghost of the scan line rotating, all the buttons appear to change what they...
I'm in the middle of a project that is rapidly becoming a nightmare.....
Situation is a 1993 formula 31 pc that shipped from factory with twin 454 mercruisers and at some point, had those 454's replaced with 502's.
after having those 502's rebuilt, and digging deeper into what was needed to be...
i have twin 1987 200 hp suzuki's on a 313 chris craft scorpion. In the past this forum has helped in resolving some issues with one engine for which i'm grateful.
new issue with what was the "good engine".
it appears that the top crankshaft seal is failing and with it the top cylinder has...
after much anguish i finally have my engines running fine and can concentrate on setup.
first the boat is a chris craft 313 scorpion with twin 200 suzukis. with current props and engines as low as they can be on the bracket i'm getting 42 mph. (prop is 15" pitch and rpm is 5500)
i know if i...
can anyone tell me if any of the various brands are better than the rest as far as the seals are concerned?

i've had an idea about a stern thruster but it would remain submerged (except when the boat was on plane) most of the time as i dock my boat.

any first hand...
first off this is not a complaint....

i have my second northstar unit, now a 951 (used to have a 941. when i bought it it did not have the differential antenna so it is operating off the standard sensor/antenna.

in these days of no selective availability, will the extra...
when i go off to my fantasy world, i dream of a late 70's sea ray 30' weekender.

i know that when new, there was a choice of i/o; v-drive and straight inboard. i also recall reading an old boat test in a magazine indicating that the i/o with twin 233 mercruiser's was a 40-42 mph boat...
at the end of last season, the oil flow buzzer sounded indicating a problem with flow.

last week, i finally got a chance to open up the sensor and found that the oil had turned into a non flowing gel.

does anyone have any ideas as to what would cause this? what can be done...
