Anyone familiar with a 1987 Glasstream 176 boat. It has a Mariner 115. In looking at boat specs on Nada it weighs 1000 lbs and in another boat specs it weighs only 800. Seems light to me, just wondered how they handle. Thanks.

I am replacing the mount on my trolling motor with a Gator mount but in looking at my trolling motor I do not see how the column support comes off from around the shaft. I know how to get the motor off the mount but the column support that surrounds shaft is puzzling. Any help?

I have a 1997 Nitro 700LX with a Mercury 75 hp on it. I want to raise the motor up 2 holes but there are 3 flanges on the left side of motor transom bracket & the middle one would block the splashwell drain hole. What is the flange for & can I cut it off, so I can raise the motor up?

1997 Nitro 700 LX with a Mercury 75. The trim gauge works fine until after 4 or 5 hours on the water & then the gauge moves showing trim all the way down which it is not. Anybody have a clue?
As of now I have no choice but to store a boat outside under cover. I am looking at getting a boat but undecided as to whether aluminum or fiberglass would be better under outside storage conditions.
