    outboard after-use jobs

    I have always believed it's a good idea to give my outboards a good spray inside the cowling with marine CRC after each use (as well as the usual flushing, wash etc). I am careful not to get it on any rubber fittings, or the starter parts. Does anyone have any comment/criticisms of this? Cheers

    Starter on 120 Johnson won't engage

    I have a 120 VRO Johnson. Australian built. Circa 1990. The starter just spins when I crank it, it doesn't move up to engage the flywheel. I have plenty of battery power, and it hasn't done this before. Will some CRC or WD40 sprayed down there do any harm? What else can I do to fix this?
