    Thanks you all for your help. As for the CDI being bad, it's getting volts from the pulse and charge coils, but no output to the ignition coils. I can't understand why Yamaha doesn't offer them anymore.

    Can anyone help me find a source for a CDI box for my 1988 Yamaha model 25 esg? The box says 6L2-10 on it.
