I noticed this past weekend that if I grab ahold of the nut in the center of my prop and hold it, I am able to rotate the prop just a little bit. Is this normal?
I have the type prop that has the hub that slides in from the back and the prop was just reconditioned this season.
The boat is a...
Just recently my 1985 Glastron with a 100hp O/B Merc. started to lose tilt.
Meaning if I tilt the motor just a little and come back a few hours later is has dropped a little. If I leave it over night, It was collapse all the way.
What can I do to fix this? Add fluid?
Thanks
Jon
Does anyone know of any lakes in PA near Binghamton, NY.
We usually head north to the finger lakes, about an 1 hr drive, we are looking to mix it up a little.
I am looking for a lake we can tow the kids on the tube and kneeboard.
Any suggestions?
My wife, two children and myself have the boat launch and load down pat. We have practiced in the driveway and can launch and load quite well now under pressure.
One problem we have is pulling up to the dock, it is my error as I am not approaching the dock correctly I guess.
Do you have any...
My 100hp Mercury is flooding out on me. From where I launch the lake is about 1500 feet away at idle speed.
By the time I got to open water the motor was flooded. I was not able to get the motor to run at full power. Wide open I could not really get on plane.
I stopped and waited 10 minutes...
I am looking for some advice from folks who know Cayuga Lake.
I have a 16' Glastron and the past two weekend the lake has been so rough we could not really do much.
I'd like to get an idea how rough the lake is before we head out. Is there a rule of thumb for wind speed vs. wave height? Anyone...
I took my wife and kids out in the boat today for our maiden voyage.
All in all the boat ran great. I did notice once or twice when i hit the throttle real hard from a stop, it was almost like the prop was spinning but I had no real forward movement. I let off and hit is again and it was fine...
I am getting my 1985 Glastron with a 100hp mercury ready for the next season and would like to service the lower unit.
This is a picture of the side, which one of these bolts do I remove to drain the lower unit? Once drained how much oil and what type should I use to replace the old?
I have a 1985 Glastron Conroy which I just purchased at the end of this past season.
I am going through the boat getting it ready for the up coming season and have a question about the bildge pump.
This is a picture of the pump, is this the correct location? It appears to be a 500gph...
I have a 100 HP merc. o/b and I need to replace the prop. I've searched this site and ebay and I can not find one with the same hub system.
The part number for my current prop is 48-77346-CI-19
Any suggestions on a replacement?
I purchased this boat used and it came with a spare prop. The one on the boat has a few nicks in it so I thought I would put the new spare on but it will not fit. Is there an adapter I can purchase or do I just need to buy another prop.?
A few pics of the old and new prop.
How did I do? Is it safe like this for a few days?
It is a 16 foot glastron with a 100hp merc. O/B.
I used 4x4 as the up rights, 2x4 on the bottom and 2x6 on the top. Then I cut 2x4's to go in between the 2x4 and 2x6. This should make the post now a 4x7.
The 4x4 off to the side are just for...
I just purchased a 1985 Glastron Conroy 16 footer with a 100hp merc o/b.
While cleaning the boat I noticed I do not have the tag which tells the max. hp and max. number of people, weight and such.
I live in NY and plan on using the boat in the finger lakes. Is this tag required? If so where...
I just purchased a used 1985 Glastron Conroy, 16 footer with a 100 HP merc outboard.
After messing with the trailer all morning I decided to clean the boat from tip to tail.
In doing this I noticed I do not have a tag or anything telling me the allowable number of persons/weight/engine size...
I finally purchased a boat/motor/trailer used.
The boat is a 1985 16foot Glastron with a 100 hp merc.
The trailer says Conroy on it.
On the way home from picking it up, we had a problem. The brackets the hold the bunks up laid down flat and the boat sat down on the trailer instead of the...
