2002 Nissan 4str 6hp . model 6A2-3R4-1
While removing the lower unit I forgot to release or seperate the shift rod from the cam rod.
I pulled the lower unit and it got hung up when seperated about 2"... I pushed up on the lower unit again. At this point I noticed the mistake.
The result is...
there is a bushing assembly on the drive shaft(about half-way down) that has a plate attached called a bushing stop(part # 369-64332-0). This plate has corroded and fallen off....it was attached by 2 screws. How difficult would it be to loosen these screws as I would assume that they may also be...
unfortunately, I have not changed the lower unit oil for 10 yrs.....I tried to remove the screws for the fill-up and can not make them budge.....I am wary of applying too much force for fear of shearing the screws....any tips/ideas on how to loosen these screws...thanks

I would like to change the prop to a lower pitch. There seems to be 2 different props

have 2002 6hp nissan 4 stroke..ran ok for first couple of years, then it began to
cut out at idle. I then used a mixture of about 20% Techron and 80% gas and
let it run for about 2 hours....it fixed the problem. I now put some techron in the
gas(not as high as 20%) and it seems to keep the carb...
