What do I set my timing on my boat below?
Seloc manual says 13 BTDC.
An OMC mechanic (good one) who worked on my boat a few years back said to set at 7 BTDC. I also read that the fuel today has alchohol in it and that is the reason...
I am changing out cracked manifolds. How vulnerable are the risers to cracking? I am just wondering if I should go ahead replace. I soaked them in diluted solution of muriatic acid to clean and don not see any signs of failure.
