    charging start batt and deep cycle at same time

    My boat has a 24v trolling motor with 2 deep cycle batts and an on board charger...all is fine and dandy there. In the console I have a switch (2 battery) and a starting battery only. All my "house stuff" runs off the starter! Can I put a deep cycle with a start battery with the swtch...

    rod holders in polar 220 BB

    I want to install rodholders on the gunwales of the boat. All the others on the boat...by the console...have drain tubes. Is it necessary that i put drain tubes on the ones in the gunwales? If so is it something a novice can do?
