    2 weeks prior had it out with aluminum prop 4300 RPMs. It runs great starts right up even after sitting. I am going to switch back the prop and see what happens. Will need to pull boat to do it.

    I would think if fuel would happen across the rpm range. It runs great until the 4000 rpms range

    It reacts the same way right around 4000 to 4200 rpm increases as rpms get to 4500

    I posted before about this. I just replaced motor. Everything is new except fuel pump and intake manifold. It is a mercruiser 5.7 vortec carbed with a rochester 4 barrel. I transfered old carb replaced it. I transferred distributor with Hei and replaced that. No difference. The old motor popped...

    Scott it is rebuilt vortec purchased from a reputable company. It has a carb. Those are things I will be checking this Friday when I go down.
