    yeah that carb looks different and you said single carb? This thread is related to a 1989 85 HP force engine which has 3 cylinders and thus 3 carbs, I'm not sure what you have there so unfortunately I've got no input at this time. Perhaps you need to input more detail or start a new thread...

    replacing water intake hose and found this:

    he gave me the idea of inserting a tapered tool to reshape it. I decided to use a hair dryer to lightly soften the plastic first then I used a big wire nut I had that fit well and reformed it.     You think I'd have to pull the drive just to take that tube out? I thought it looked like 2 bolts and possibly a seal that makes the tube water tight to the hose that comes from the drive. I'm not sure how long that tube is though. Not really looking to pull the drive and do bellows right now...

    I'll be sure to tell the person I bought the boat from he or the previous to him tightened it too much. I obviously realized that someone overtightened it the questions posed was part name? and could it be reused this way? not did you think it was overtightened LOL, thats pretty clear already
