    So after i replaced my impeller, i put the motor in water and started it up. No water was coming out of the port.     Hello, I am looking to see what kind of tachometer i will need for my 1970 evinrude 18 hp. Does anybody know where i can find this info and about how much they are. Maybe even how to hook it up.

    Universal Tachometer

    So i was reading in my owners manual for my 1970 evinrude 18 hp, that it wouldnt be a bad idea to install a universal tachometer so that i can figure out what rpm i am running, and just in case i change props. Can this be done? and how? another question i have is, there was a wiring harness...
