Hey guys, I have a 1997 Kawasaki 1100ZXi, it runs great other than a bit of sputtering sometimes when you hit the gas? if I am idling and I hit the gas it ocasionaly will hesitate off the line? any thoughts?

1) my brother inlaw took my jet ski for a run, he is a big guy and when he fell off he swamped it getting back on, he did run it to get it back to the dock but we found he sucked water into the air intake and it stopped...
