Got an old motor and boat from a guy but hes not sure of the year. The only thing I can find is the serial # which is C554708. Its a 65 hp four cylinder. He painted the case black and i cant find anywhere to even confirm that it is in fact an Evinrude, for all I know it may be a Merc. Any help...
Got this 1963 Merc 20hp and as you can see from the pics I can only find one screw at the bottom to put oil in through. The only other screw is at the top but it says "Fresh Water Flush" right above it with an arrow pointing to the screw. So my question is where do I put the oil in the leg and...
It has a 17" shaft, # 2 is wirtten on the back of the cover and the serial # is 7036157, on the front of the cover is written "Thunderbolt Electric". Can anyone tell me what year or model it is and anything else about the motor? Good motor?
