used to black unburnt oil. but i got this pinkish creamy mess in the leg that turns red and leaks out of the weep holes hours after use. what causes this? not lower unit oil

replacing water pump impeller in my 1986 7.5hp johnnny.
when i pulled the foot. the drive shaft stayed in the powerhead and the shift shft stayed on the lower.
in all my expeirence they usually both stay on the lower.
is that the case with this little motor?
this must be common seeing that oil senser is put in the middle of oil tank. running with oil under that level for right now. is there a cheap easy fix or just spend the 120$ for new senser

ran it for 2 hours and noticed it has to be started twice. first try the rpms start at 1100 then in 3 seconds it goes down to 500 and dies second time rpms start at 1100 and drop to 800 after 3 seconds and ide back to like 900. is there something that kepps rpms up for a short time on start up...

just got this boat. been sitting for years. i got it running good except the light mis in bottom cylinder. seems like a little smoke comes up from main gasket. bottom of lower cowling. havnt done carbs could this be the problem. p.s this is on the hose running
runs fine idles fine. but some sort of miss is causing backfires. it poofs every 4-5 seconds at idle on the hose. does this mean carb job time or is it a spark issue. it has newer plugs and i will get new tomarrow
