Just picked up a 63 Johnson 28hp. My boat currently has a 96 Evinrude with single lever control. Can I use the single lever control on the 63 if I get the 3300 serial cables and correct attachment kit? Don’t know if the throw for F/R dimension changed. Thanks
I’ve searched eBay for a manual for this engine but can't find one. Even looked here and couldn't find one. I've seen the non-OEM manuals but prefer factory manual. Anyone have a idea as to where I can get one? Thanks
Was wondering what is the difference in these motors versus the non RX series motors? I picked one up today for $175 and it’s clean, electric start with harness, hood’s not all scratched up. 100 psi on both cylinders and spark jumps a 1/4” gap on tester.

Just bought a NOS carb for my 95 9.9 since the previous owner couldn't get it to idle. I found the idle issue, someone damaged the idle tube under the welch plug. They mangled up the end of tube and it's bent opposite of high speed nozzle.
