I have a Black Max V6 serial #4733860. The model number/horsepower stickers are gone. I've searched several websites for the year & HP rating, and it appears to be a 1977, but is it 150 horse or 175? Should I call a Mercury dealer or do one of you know which it is? Thank you.

Does anyone have the approximate weight of the 175 lower unit. I see where several threads recommend that two people pull the unit off, but nobody says how heavy it is. I'm going to try it alone.

1976 Black Max 175. Stupidly, I left the ignition switch on for several weeks until the battery ran down. Will this likely fry the ignition switch boxes? Are there any other electrical items this would likely ruin? I am charging the battery today and will try to start it this evening...
