    402 lower unit not going on easily

    I have a 1972 Merc 40hp (402). I am putting the lower unit back on and it goes on easy as pie until the last 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. There is some rubbery feeling resistance. I don't want to just tighten up the nuts and ruin something. Any idea's what is not inline? Thanks! Scott

    aq125a - Is Coolant Temp Sensor wrong?
