I am considering buying a used Mercury 2 stroke, 2 cylinder, 7.5 HP with electric start. There are wires running out of the engine. To engage the electric start do I just make contact with these wires to a battery?? And then after the engine starts disengage the wires?? Or is there a switch on...
I am considering buying a used Mercury outboard. How do I tell what year it is. There is no label indicating it. All I have is the serial number. It is a 2 stroke, 2 cylinder, 7.5 HP with electric start. Will the serial number provide me that information??
