Ok so today I pulled the stator and put a new one on but noticed that they were some what different. The part numbers for the old one was 3985454A9 when I looked up for the year and SS number in parts book it gave me 174-5454-16 so now I am wondering if this is the wrong stator or just a...
Was wounding when I change my stator will I need to reset my timing on a 1982 inline 6 115 mercury, Or just put it back the same way it came off. Found bad wires on stator and going to replace it in a week or two when part gets here. Thanks for the help.
