    Pulled off bottom end 6hp Mercury and now it has neutrel and reverse and revers?

    Do I need to pull the bottom end off or can I fix it where the 2 rods connect up top? Thanks in advance.

    Knowing it was the impeller I bought one. It arrived and I pulled the leg off and the water pump cap off. Impeller is perfect... So now I'm thinking maybe something is stuck somewhere.
