    1988 OMC 4.3 shift cable mounting

    I am putting a boat back together that I did not take apart. The engine is in place, but the plate that holds the shift cable mounts is not mounted on the engine, and I can't seem to figure out where it goes. Is there a standard mount location for 4.3 OMC's?
