I bought a 1986 four winns with a 305 mercusier motor..The motor was not winterize right and has a crack block..My question is if I buy a 305 car motor what do I have to change? Do I have to change the crank and rods and cam ect.ect? thanks..

I have a 1988 2155 bayliner 3.0 OMC .What my question is I have bought a 1986 Four Winns with a 305 mercuriser. I want to change out the hole power train.Will the pig plug be a direct fit?Will the cables for the carb. and outdrive. be the same? If I have left anything out please tell me. Thanks
Will a 1991 OMC cobra outdrive 3.0 bolt right on to a 1988 OMC cobra 3.0 without having to change anything. When I look on internet looks like my outdrive will only work with 1987 thru 1990 . My outdrive (1988 cobra) upper gear is chew up and the gear cost as much as a used outdrive does...
I have a 1988 19ft Bayliner Capri with a volvo penta 131A motor and a 275 outdrive.I want to change the prop from a 14" 19 pitch to a 15" 17 pitch to help me get up on plane faster.Will this do the trick? Also how much RPM will I gain? I don't want to blow up the motor.
Is the cutout in a 1988 Bayliner capri OMC outdrive and a 1984 Bayliner capri Volvo penta outdrive the same? I'm thinking about swaping the hole engine,gimble and outdrive from the 1984 volvo penta and putting it in the 1986 OMC.thanks
I have 2 boats both are 19ft bayliners.the first boat has an 125A with a 270 outdrive.The second boat has a 131A with a 275 outdrive. My question is can i swap the lower units? I want to put the 270 lower on the 275 ourdrive because the skag is better.
I just bought this Bayliner 19FT. with an AQ 131A motor.My problem is that it has water and oil mixed.My close cooling system is fine.It wants to shoot ( i guess its choclate Milk) out of the oil cap.Im thinking thats because its water down.Now this gets me.My oil dip stick tells me that im not...
i have a 19 ft bayliner aq125a with a 270 outdrive..no trim tabs..my problem is that when i go from 1 to 15 miles an hr. my sterring is fine..but when i go WOT my steering pulls real hard to the left and i have to fight to turn to the right..if i let go of steering wheel it will make a fast left...
