    transom height on a rebuild need help

    I get two diffrent storys on transom height. My motor manual say 20 in. but at 20 in. my cavitation plate is 1.75 in. lower than the bottom of the boat. Some say to move transom height up so cavitation plate is level with the bottom of the boat. doing so moves my transom height above johnsons...
