Hello all I have a pull start Evinrude that has weak spark on the upper plug. The bottom will spark good and when I hold the plug and ground my self to the block I get shocked and the upper on will not shock me holding the plug.I swaped the plugs thanking they were bad but the same thing...
I just picked up 2 mark 5 outboards from one of my older lawn customers.
What are the worth in great shape and can you still get parts for them?

I replaced my 1971 Evinrude 25hp with a 2007 Yamaha 2 stroke tiller handle 25hp.
The power between the two is like night and day.
The boat is made by Alweld and is called a 1448.
I just did the 10 hour break in and it is only pushing the boat 35 MPH at wot 10 mph faster than the old 25hp...

It came with a 13 by 17 on it and the prop spun at 5600 rpm.I had it re-hubed and tried again.I had a super hole shot and hit Rpms super fast and did about 28 to 30...
