Just curious to see if the thought is still that Wallmart Supertech is a great bargain in the TCw3 department. I have ran it for the last year with no probs....
The only problem I am having with my boat is getting the garage door unstuck from the ice on the ground so I can look at it.... I guess it makes for cheap maintenence. :(
V6 merc 150. Recently has starter rebuilt and put in new battery. All is fine. Ran it last week with no problems and has run great all season, save for a low battery problem recently. Today went out and she turns and turns but did not start. I noticed small amount of fuel leaking from the bulb...
I have a V6 Merc 150 that has started spinning the starter regardless of key position. The starter was just professionally rebuilt, had been spinning w/ out extention the last time I tried to start it. It extends now but engages the moment the battery is connected at the terminals. Any help...
What is the performance difference between a cleaver and chopper prop. What is the best application for either. I have a Merc V6 150<br />on a Glastron Carlson CV 16. With Aluminum 23 I run 62 @ 5200 rpm, the normal range is 5000-5500 rpm. I have no Jackplate or set back. Looking for a...
I have been looking for a 2nd prop. Anyone have thoughts on either Pirahnna<br />or comprop? Was there a performance drop, or gain? Tell me what you think.

I saw this question asked on an old thread, and thought it was worth " expert opinions"<br />I live in Minneapolis where gas is oxygenated<br />due to state law. There are a few places that sell non oxygenated 91 octane, but they are few and far between, there is no 87 or 89 that is alcohol...
This is just a curiosity, but I seem to recall a few people saying that Wallmart brand outboard oil was very comparable to the<br />Mercury Quicksilver brand. Is just just crazy voodoo thinking or is there any truth to it? I don't want to save money on oil if it is going to cost me in the long...
My Merc is too broke to fix $$$$ Does anyone have a good running 70s Merc in the Midwest? I am in Minneapolis.<br />Good running is the motto here. My wife ain't<br /> too impressed with the new bill. It would make my Glastron and me real happy.....<br /><br />Thanks!!!
Alright trusty wrenches, my 77 Merc 115 went real bad on me today. I went from 52 mph at 5300 rpm to the clack and clank that ruins any good day. It had run perfect and now sounds like a piston smack or some other $$$<br />disaster. The local wrench can't see it til next week, so your thoughts...
I just did a fuel pump rebuild on my 77 1150 Merc. Simple enough for your average monkey, but get me involved and... As I was removing one of the mounting bolts the head of the bolt snapped. No biggie I figured, just fish it out when the pump is off of the mount. Well, the bolt broke flush with...
Howdy,<br /><br />I am putting a small amount of fiberglass cloth on the bottom of my hull. About 14 inches by three inches. I am looking for the strongest adhesive so that at full throttle it won't come off. Any recomendations?
