    What Octane?

    I have a 2004 Yamaha 150 TXRC (carbed 2 stroke). In an earlier post there was a mention that 93 octane fuel can actually hurt performance. My question is, What octane fuel do you guys recommend? I've been running 93. Thanks, especially too Big Daddy RODBOLT and yam99. You guys have saved me $1000's.

    prop shaft

    Just replaced prop and noticed I could move prop shaft in and out. Should I be worried? Only moves about 1/16 inch, no metal flakes in lower unit oil, works great. I have a yama 150 TXRC.

    prop dont fit

    I have a 04 yama 150 and ordered a Solex aluminun prop and after tighting prop nut prop will move up and down shaft about 1/8 inch. What did I do wrong? Large washer before prop and small after.

    Performance or Prop

    Today got to run boat at WOT, no wife or kids. Only got 40 mph at 4500 rpms. Engine runs great at idle or WOT. Boat is a Key West 186 Sportsman (19 ft cc) with a 2004 Yamaha 150 2 stroke. Prop is a stainless factory prop with a marking of 5070 19. Any help would be loved.............

    update on 150 no start

    A month or so ago seeked help on a 04 Yami 150 2 stroke no start ( poor or no spark). Tested ignition and kill circuits and never got a true fault. Watched Ebay and scored a CDI, stator and pulsar coil used for $150. Runs now....................pulsar coil. Thanks again for your help and boating...

    which CDI?

    How do I indentify a used CDI? I see them listed with the prefix of the Yamaha part number.......ie....64D, 62e etc......

    Yamaha no spark

    I have a 2004 yamaha 150 2 stroke with no spark. I ve tested the ignition system with the following results, CDI out peak voltage-0 volts AC, charge coil output peak voltage-145 volts AC, pulser coil output peak voltage-.5 volts AC at both the w/r-w/g and w/y-w/br. I'm leaning toward replacing...

    Yamaha wont start

    My 2004 Yamaha 150 2 stroke wont start. I have little to no spark. I will soon start testing the ignition system per manual. Would love some advice or to talk with someone about my problem.
