Hi. Just bought a Faria system check tach for my 2002 90hp johnson. No instructions came with it. there is an adjustment on the back...pulse/rev, which can be set to 5 or 6. 5 is 10 pole, 6 is 12 pole?? Which would I use for a 2002 v4 90hp?? thanks alot.

title says it all. plugs 1-3 all look brownish after use. cyl 4 plug,the lowest cylinder, always looks white.the motor runs so-so.starts great but performance should be a lot better. any ideas?
