On occasion the engine jumps out of reverse. I had the lower unit removed and inspected last year because I though it was a problem with the gears. The mechanic said everything looked good and replaced all seals and reassembled. He said he could not recreate the problem during a test drive...

My water temp light is going on without horn after warm up. SLOW is also activated. Changed t-stats and water flow is very good from indicator. Removed t-stats while flushing and I'm getting water up th e the t-stats...
The water temp light comes on about 3 minutes after initial start up. If I try to throttle up the engine the S.L.O.W. kicks in. The engine never feels hot, I can hold my hand against it no problem. I am getting good flow from the indicator so I replaced the t-stats and the light still came on...
