I have an 82 Evinrude 90hp that dies soon after it warms up and can idle. Though it works fine in the driveway connected to a hose, on the ramp it dies. I discovered that the fuel bulb goes soft. Upon pumping it a few times it restarts only to die shortly thereafter.

Pump vs. air...
I have an '82 Evinrude that starts up perfectly and has ran well...on the trailer. I took it for a shack down cruise this morning. After it had warmed up it died when the idle lever was lowered. I restarted it a few times letting it warm up even more after each one. Same problem. Then it...
I just pickup a 90 hp Evinrude that needed some attention. Having resolved the known issues, I wanted to go through the engine to ensure no others will surface while on the boat ramp.
Not being too familiar with outboards, where do I find the impeller?
The saga continues...
I have an 82 E90tl whose tilt/trim gets stuck when fully raised. I have added fluid and have used the manual release to drop the motor. It will raise afterwards but not drop again unless manually released. Additionally, when manually released, it only goes to the trim...
I raised the motor slightly to release the support and now the motor won't go down. The hoist motor sounds (over)loaded if I try to raise it further and sounds completely unloaded (higher pitch) when trying to lower the engine.
I wiggle the engine and there is no slop up or down.
The engine will turn over until the battery runs down but there's no spark. Thus far I have ruled out:
the kill switch...The boat does not one.
fuel feed
the 20 barrel fuse.

The last test I ran was jumping the starter while the large red cannon plug was disconnected...
I have the opportunity to pick up an early 80's Glastron runabout with a 90hp evinrude really cheap. The owner used it not more than two years ago and, although its been sitting since, astetically, it is in good condition (minus a steering pin). The electronics on the console all appear to work...
