Hit a USO at about 25mph, sheared off 2" of the skeg and severly damaged prop (aluminum). Replaced prop and motor performs normally. Trim works perferctly but tilt does not work at all. When trimming up, outdrive reaches maximum trim up position but then nothing when tilt cylinder would...
2002 carburated 4 stroke. Just had motor serviced, carbs cleaned. Asked shop to check motor carefully as we were considering keeping or trading. After cleaning carbs and installing new impeller, shop pronounced motor in good shape. Used boat last weekend, started and ran flawlessly.
