So I take my boat of storage and hook up a battery to try and start it. Immediately the power trim cruises all the way up, and will not go down. As soon as the battery is connected, the trim motor starts humming and raising the motor.

Ran accross the lake full throttle in a driving rainstorm, no problems. Slowed to idle to dock with houseboat, motor died (it does that sometimes going from full-out to idle).
Tried to restart, battery was low (didn't charge before I left. . .anyway)
Ran battery dead cranking.
Jumped battery...
If I put the trim up at all, the motor won't start. Gets a good crank, won't get gas. When I trim it all the way down, it starts, but blows smoke.
It also won't stay idling unless I rev the idle control constantly. It idles really rough even then. If I'm idling, and I put the trim up...
