I've had my 1979 6hp Johnson in storage for six years now (time goes by fast when kids arrive :) )<br />I haven't tried starting it yet but was wondering if there is some recommended things I should change. Will the water and fuel pumps be ok?
I have a 1979 Johnson 6hp. The shift lever on the side has been bent and even though it still works, it is rubbing and tearing the engine cover seal. I can't see a setscrew or anything else holding the handle to the shaft. Do I have to remove the entire shaft to replace the lever?<br />Any...
