    Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

Now that sure looks like a Jet Star! Haven't seen decent metal boats listed in a long time around here. https://albany.craigslist.org/boa/d/schenectady-1963-starcraft-motorboat/7499389946.html

Going from 8" to 12" wheels -fender clearance?

A bit of luck. I was able to raise the fender one inch and I think that will do it. Even more luck was that the bolts unscrewed after being on for 17 years. Not exactly the same angle photos, but before and after:

Going from 8" to 12" wheels -fender clearance?

Thanks, I'll check that, but I think it's just the way it looks in the picture.

Going from 8" to 12" wheels -fender clearance?

That's another thought. The fenders are still solid and probably I can change or modify the brackets.

Going from 8" to 12" wheels -fender clearance?

Thanks, roscoe. I'll check it today. There's less clearance than my other 2 trailers. It may be easier to just replace the fenders. It's time to do a little renewal on this 1965 trailer anyway.

Going from 8" to 12" wheels -fender clearance?

My 8" tires seem to get pretty warm on a 170 mile highway towing trip, so I thought maybe going up to 12" tires might be better. I tried the wheels and they fit the hubs, so my question is, how much fender clearance is needed? There's no adjustment room in the current fender brackets and there...

    Boat lift electric drive

I've watched them and seen them go on sale for $750 instead of 1200. Not sure if those prices will be back since Covid.

    Boat lift electric drive

Thanks, Nashville. My boat is light, 15' Starcraft with a 50 hp motor, probably not more than 750 lb. total (guesstimate). The lift is an old Hewitt cantilever. But I'd rather invest in the direct drive, I think, than have to be messing with it all the time. From what I've seen, the direct...

    Boat lift electric drive

I've been half seriously looking into this for a couple years. I didn't know this type existed until today, the replacement box type with wireless remote is about twice as much cost. That's still in consideration. One concern is that my lift wheel is slightly out of round.

    Boat lift electric drive

Does anyone have one of these electric assists for a lift like this, or another type like the direct drive for the cable? Not getting old, just thinking ahead. :p Thanks.

    1961 Lonestar Flamingo - SPLASHED w/Pics

It's holding up great actually. A few little nicks and dings that I've touched up, but I'm very pleased with the Pettit one part Easypoxy with the Valspar Enamel Hardener mixed in. It's tough. Have you had the Flamingo out? Happy Father's Day!
