    Large orange wire

    Some time ago someone here told me to cut the large orange wire going to the alternator on my 4 cylinder chevy motor and hook it directly to the positive post on the battery. Does this makes sense? The orange wire on the ignition switch is then disconnected right? Larry E

    Hole in bilge

    At the bow end of my bilge pan on my 16 foot Seaswirl I/O there is a hole 2" long and 1" high. I have had people tell me it supposed to be there to allow water from the front of the boat (should it be there) drain back into the bilge. Should I leave the hole or seal it? Larry E

    Tru Course steering question

    I am trying to get the gear and shaft that holds the Trucourse cable to the intermediate housing out. I removed the one screw that supposedly holds the shaft in the cable drum but the shaft and gear will not budge. Any suggestions? Thanks Larry E
