    rewiring evinrude lost cable

    I have an evinrude e15el4eeb motor lost the cable that runs to control box.how cn I wire this so I can just wire it to a flip switch to start.I do not have funds to buy cable at this time and I need to use this motor since my johnson 20 thermastat decided to fall apart n smoked the engine.

    how to adjust forward. reverse johnson 20

    I have a 1985 johnson 20.recently had foot changed by a friend.got home n couldn't find neutral.started it and goes in forward n reverse n propellar is still spinning in so calld neutral.how can I adjust this to fix it.does it need adjusted in foot or up top at shift lever.thanks

    my friend gave me a 1989 5 hp(225 587-501) to check out for him.tried to put it in neutral and will not go.pushed the lever all the way up and i cannot get the prop to spin freely.and cannot pull start?any suggestions are helpful.

    testing on dig.ohm meter

    i have johnson 20 .manual says charge coil should be 575 @25 ohms.i set it at 2000 and i got 601.sensor coil says 40 @10 ohms.i got 41 at 200 setting.its an innova multimeter.
