So I just did my first water pump on my Alpha 1 Gen 2. I’ve done other pumps but this was the first time on an Alpha. After reassembled I hooked up the muffs to run and it started to rain. So I just turned on the hose WITHOUT the engine running to check muff seal to continue...
That is a great question! Was in there today and was checking bilge pump, belt tensions, cleaning, etc........
Never checked blower, although I know it works ( can hear it).
Hey all! Just purchased a Stingray 180RS with the VP 3.0.
This boat has two fresh air intake ports on just above the swim platform.
My port side intake has a accordion hose that terminates simply by hanging into bilge next to exhaust pipe. However the starboard side intake has no hose at all...
Yeah, I was hoping not to go that route as upholstery would be involved. Thought maybe someone DIY'd a brace against the inside of the transom or something kind of support.

2000 190 LX 4.3.
As you know, the LX is equiped with the rear bench seat. I've noticed the seat back has bowed towards stern a little and is coming in contact with the engine drive belt and pulley. A potential first hazard as the carpet overlaps.
Anyone have a quick fix or suggestion?
