I have a 1975, Mercury 650 and lost the reverse.
I was working on in but that was for fuel suppley and carb problems. As far as I know I have not done anything to the lower unit that I think, :confused: would have effected it.
When I place it in reverse it reve's high but does not engage...
I have an older Mercury and had to be hauled back to shore because of engine trouble. :mad:
I have a 1975, 65 horse Mercury outboard. It would start but when I reduced the choke and put it into gear it stalled out. I just had it serviced and the only thing they changed was the plugs and oil...
