    did i do compression check right?

    i took out the plugs, switch off ,pulled 4 times each on both cylinders,, was in neutral 1986 mercuryxd 25hp readings was 110 111

    how big or small prop can i go

    1986 mercuryxd 25hp stand prop 10 3/8dia-13pitch how much can i move these numbers before it is bad for my engine,,, speed is not a big deal with me,, jus want good gas performance and the best for my engine life.

    i have a 6 gallon tank portable, mix fuel and oil,, if it sets 4 like a week or more should i shake the tank to remix it?

    serial#A955266 1986 25hp mercury, was inspecting prop and notice there is no locking nut washer in front of the nut,, is there suppose to be one?

    fixed!!!update mercury 1986 25hp

    took boat out today,, fired right up,,let it warm a bit and went up and down the lake for bout 10-15 mins then it bogged down at full throttle,, and died after a few mins it started again and still no power,, let it sit bout 15mins and it fired up again same thing after bout 5 mins it bogged...

    serial#A955266 carb#wmc113505, have no clue where to order a carb kit from,,does oreillys sell them? i dont even know how many strokes it is. 2 spark plugs i do know that. can anybody post a illustration of the float and little needle thing placement? i cant remember if the needle points up...

    took apart my carb and it looks good no gunk no nuttin, everything seem to work ok,, but where is this so -called lil ball suppose to be?

    25hp mercury update

    ok i turned the mix 1/4 started right up,, i let it warm a bit then started pushing choke in gave it a lil rev sounded good,, pushed choked all the way in died after a min or two,, did same process over and pulled 5-6 before it started then started to push choke in and it died.1986 mercury...

    need help with 25hp mercury

    i have a 2 stroke 25hp mercury,, started after 4-5 pulls,, idled rough at first then settled down after i did the 2 step choke. went to forward it died,, i did same method again and it did open up after i went slow for a bit sounded good and went faster than i thought,, ok,, we stop and fish...
