    What Vinyl for seats

    I need to make new cushions for my boat. The back is plywood and the cushions are bolted onto the sides. What vinyl should I be using for this? Can I just head over to nearest materials places (Jo-Ann's) and pick something I like, or is there more to it? Thanks

    Protective coating or just a stain

    On the very bottom surfaces of my MFG Gypsy, there is a dark coating of some sort. It doesn't seem to be a natural forming stain as it is only on the bottom surfaces, not on the sides. Is this something I should leave alone when refinishing or should I sand this surface also for repainting...
