My dad has a 1988 classic 50 45hp on a 20 bass buggy and needs a new prop. What pitch does he need. I have tried the prop selector tools online and none list that engine. The local marine shop said 8 and I am thinking 10 so I may go in the middle and get a 9...........suggestions?

Woud a three blade 23 pitch with 13.75 blades turn about the same as a four blade 23 pitch with 13.25 blades? I know that you might lose a little top end with the four blade but get more hole shot right???

I am trying to start my boat for the first time this year and it will not start and choke at the same time, I can turn it on and push in and here the choke but not start it while pushing in??????? It is a 1993 Mariner Magnum III. Also what are the best plugs for this engine?
