I did a search and really no answers. I tried slowing down off the throttle but sometimes it still knocks. a couple of times it is loud. I am still breaking the engine in. got about 5hrs on it. I use 89 octane. it does sneeze at idle sometimes. but my hands are tied with the warranty. what can I...
I did a search from my fav. but im locked out.the site I got my other one was , marineengine.com ....I want the factory assembly manual, NO seloc or clymer. where else can I get one?
my old 120 looper had it at the base of the block. my new 150 has one brass plug on each cylinder head. is this where I connect it to? if so do I have to connect it to both heads?
I have see several sets of carbs for 90 deg v4 loopers from a 1995-130 around. but I was wondering if the extra idle screw was worth the money to put it on my 1985-140. I do have a set of 6 peddle reeds to go with it
looking at the 1980 crossflow 115 that I have here, I have never seen the shaft that goes through the carb housing so loose. that has to be a vacume leak. is there a bushing available or should I try to find another carb assembly for this 115
I was wondering what was the difference between my friends 1979-115 and a 1980-140? is it just the bubble back exaust? cause the 140 has it the 115 dosent. and will it fit, and if it does will he gain anything? or is it carbs? any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks
it seemes I have lost the bearing retainer plate for my v4 looper rebuild. cant find it  does anyone have one laying around? I cant give a part #..I cant even get the part views from their website and dont know why...thanks
like Dhadley said, put 93 or newer pistons and rods in your 120-140 looper. well, why not add the finger ports to the block that go along with them :) that should really wake her up. where do I send the block?
I really dont know what I should put in my 120-140 rebuild. any input would help me. stock cast or hypereutectic? forged needs too much piston to wall clearance for my stock 3.50 bore and is kinda noisy. it wont be turning up past 6000. thanks
I remember a reply from Dhadley that its not good that the caps are magnetized, that the bearings dont like it. well how do I stop it? and how did it happen?
my other 1985-140 according to my gauge charged at a max of 14.5 and not all the time. my 85-140 that I have now charges to 15.1 anything above 4500. I dont have a battery problem, and they are parralled. but I have the assembly and it doesnt state the maximum volts. am I trying to split hairs...
