    Fuel spitting out of exhaust

    Oil mix for a 1964 Mercury 500.

    The moter says to refer to the fuel tank. The tank gives a 16:1 mix. Can this be? I don't know if these are the orignal tanks,they could be. :confused: The seral# is 1717588
