    I've read this several times and am confused. Outboard and trolling motor are two separate unrelated things. Sounds like you need to have someone look at the outboard and controls. Good luck!

    Re: new tracker I have a very similar looking 2000 Lowe 170 and it's a fun boat (in calm waters.) I've heard/read about paint problems/peeling off Trackers, but a new one would certainly be covered under warranty, although still a PITA...) Good luck!

    Dinged my prop and pride, but probably not for the last time...

    Re: 2000 Lowe 170 w/ 70hp Johnson Thanks. Although mine is not a deep V hull (see photo), I agree with upgrading to a 24 v tm. Mine is pretty weak in calm waters, I can just imagine the fun I'd have in heavy current/wind. I've enjoyed a couple of outings with the boat already; so far so good!
