i have a 1985 celebrity calais with a 190hp mercruiser(says on the lower unit_)4 cyl engine... i have been told it is a 3.7 liter and a 470 how do i find out what i have and who makes the motor like gm, or ford..? please help cause i need a starter i got stranded in the lake yesterday...
:confused:help i bought a boat and it came with a top .. it is not a bimini top this one snaps to the windshield with like bimini poles. it goes from the windshield to just past the 2 front seats .. can any one tell me what it is called?

i have the 3.7 mercruiser i/o 4 cyl it has a tach but i dont know where the wire goes to the + or - side of the coil or where it goes..can any one tell me how to hook this up....

ok guy im just flat out tired of the probs with this junk 88 bayliner capri 1900 br w/125hp force.. when i have 2 people in this boat it screams.. when i put 4 or 5 people it bogs and wont go over 10 mhp.. ive done everything i can think of ..

ok guys i rebuilt the carb and fuel pump and took boat out today. big diff.. i slam into wot and the boat takes off.gets to 20 mph and stays there bout 5 seconds then shoot of like a rocket to 35 mph. why the 5 second pause? 88 bayliner capri 1900 br w/ 88 force 125 hp.

well to all that read my post about my title probs got it all straightend out. took boat out to lake fired up put in gear it died ..over and over again...brought boat home looked on here found out idle maybe set to low.. turned idle screw up alittle went back to lake to try it and battery...
