I have a 1985 4cyl mercruiser and went to merc dealer today and purchased new prop and a kit came with it.prop spins fine in neutral but when I but it in gear and I spin the prop by hand it makes a clicking sound.It is dark now so I wonder what is causing this.

I hooked up some water muff on my 3.0 and turned on the hose,started the engine and all is well temp came up to normal but no water came out the prop.It came out where the outdrive goes up and down.Is this normal.I've never hooked up a hose to it before .Boat runs fine and no over heating...
Yesterday I pulled the grandkids for 3 hours on the tube,everything fine.I then went for a cruise and at 3/4 throttle all was fine then at wot it died after about 30 seconds.Took 10 minutes to get it started and got back to shore.Boat has 422 hours and is one owner and all original in pristine...
