How hard is the coupler replacement job? I have split the drive before and changed water pipe and seals. Wondering if I can tackle myself.

Got it running, turns out when I was installing motor my foot pushed in the retaining clip for the high pressure fuel pump when pushing that corner of motor back to clear deck. Started and runs fines, used rinda to put in base timing mode and locker it down.
Now just have to change impellor...
So what method to time it is used? I have seen both, using a rinda to put in base timing mode, on warmed up motor at 1000rpm or using the the timing shunt plugged i to the dizzy?
Does this TBI motor have to be timed every time distributor is pulled out? Had heads reconditioned, I marked distributor when pulled. Put motor back in on #1 TDC can't get to run more than 30 seconds. It has to be close, loosened distributor bolt and have been turning dizzy a little. What a...
Not to my knowledge, I put short bolts to 55 #, med 65, large 75 carefully in stages with my digital snap on torque wrench. Seems fine just probably overthinking it. Tired of messing with this motor/boat. Want it done and forget about it.
I reused the stock ones supposed to be from new gm marine. I believe they are not torque to yield bolts. My question is if I over or under torqued them and should redo it with new bolts???
