ok i had to change the ignition system on my 91 force 150 i must have crossed somthing the motor starts and runs fine but i saw that when it starts the starter keeps spining its not engaged to the fly wheel but it spining???? any ideas?
one running and 1 not. the running motor has the black power packs. the one not running was running till 2 weeks ago it over heated and lost compression on #3 and # 4 it has the blue power pack. 1,500 1967 renken tri hull with new 50 pound thrust foot controlled trolling motor included.
battery not charging took off the flywheel what a pain the stator looked good no corrision but inside the flywheel the magnets are cracked would that cause my problem? or maybe the voltage regulator?

ok first let me thank everyone for helping me with my force 150 running great now.....new project working on my father-in-laws evinrude 25 he told me it was not pumping water so first thing i got a pump kit and replaced the pump housing and impellar O-rings and gaskets put the foot back on ran...
so it's an old boat only had it for a year it had a starting problem cranked over to slow i could wrap a rope around the fly wheel and pull as i turned the key did good for a bit then that didn't work any more replaced the starter brushes,solenoid and battery even tried to jump it turns over...
